Milan Pilar is a Czech bass player and composer, born 1932 in former Czechoslovakia. In 1962 he emigrated to West Germany, where he performed on countless library productions and on the legendary all star albums „Catch Up Vol. 1 & 2“ or „Atomic Drums“ (by Charly Antolini`s Power Dozen) during the 1970s. A little later, the present, unusual recordings were made for the small German label “Sound Star-Ton” under the working title "Twilights of Bali", featuring a high-class ensemble conducted by the German drummer veteran Freddie Brocksieper, produced by Frederic Lupini.

Special thanks to H.G. Peters (Sound Star-Ton)
